Submit A Lead Program

How can I help?

  • You can help by submitting a lead for a business where there is potential opportunity to gain revenue for the Postal Service.

What are examples of a lead opportunity?

  • On-line websites that don’t offer USPS as a shipping selection
  • Knowledge of a place of business using UPS/Fed-Ex
  • Knowledge of a friend or family member with business potential to use USPS
  • Knowledge of a new business start up

How do I submit a lead?

  • Send an email to sleads@usps.gov or copy the email address into your email product.
  • Type:  “A-PLUS Submit a Lead” in the subject line of your email message
  • Include your name, email and/or telephone number for follow up in the body of the email message.
  • It is also critical that you  include the name of the company, address, city, State, Zip Code, company  website if known and any other pertinent information about the lead.  For  example, pertinent information can include “The business mails 5 packages a  week with UPS.”  “This is a new start up business that wanted more  information about USPS product and services.”

What happens with a lead that I submit?

  • A sales representative will contact the customer within 48 hours of receipt of the lead
  • A sales representative will notify you of the lead status via the email or telephone number you provide in your email message once customer contact is made and/or a sale has been made.

What “good news” stories can I share with a customer?

  • There’s never been a better time to switch to USPS. With the largest delivery network in the U.S., and upfront pricing, you’ll get shipping solutions that will help your business grow at prices that won’t give you sticker shock.
  • No one goes to more domestic addresses than USPS.
  • Quick, easy, and convenient—pay for postage on-line and request free pick-up.
  • No one else has your deliveries protected by a federal law-enforcement agency.
  • The Postal Service never imposes surcharges for fuel or residential delivery.
